UNOPS team inspects the road paving project in the city of Dali

As part of the follow-up to the activities of the Yemen Integrated Urban Services Emergency Project, funded by the World Bank Group’s International Development Association (IDA), and in partnership with the Public Works Project, the UNOPS team with the Public Works Project Team paid an inspection visit to a number of projects under implementation in the city. The projects currently underway, at a cost of US$ 592,779, include asphalting and paving a number of streets, including streets of Al-Ramani, Al-Arshi, Al-Seyahi, Saleh Qassem, Cinema, Museum and Al-Nasr General Hospital street.

 

In addition, there is a package of projects that will be implemented in the next months, such as paving the streets and lanes of the city of Dali, maintenance of the city’s roads to Sanah, construction of drainage channels and lighting the streets with solar energy.

 

During the visit, the team was briefed on the ongoing work, stressing on the contractors for the need to complete the projects on time and according to the technical specifications and safety measures agreed upon.
